How Urban Axe Throwing is managing the COVID-19 Pandemic.

We hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and keeping your spirits up. It’s a new day and a new beginning for us all. After a trying time, we’re beginning to see life return to normal (or as some are calling it, our ‘new normal’). After all, spring is a time of rebirth and reinvention, and we couldn’t have asked for a better season to open our doors once again.

As you may know, Urban Axe Throwing has been allowed to re-open. We will be re-opening on Friday, May 29.

As we reopen, we’re implementing certain policies to ensure our teams and customers adopt the necessary precautions to protect themselves and those around them. Rest assured; we have increased our cleaning protocols. We will clean and disinfect high-touch areas and surfaces more frequently, including axe handles, counters, and washrooms. Customers will also be required to maintain the required distance from other axe throwers.

We encourage our customers to wear masks or facial coverings, wash/sanitize your hands before coming to the store, and — most importantly — stay at home if you are feeling sick.

Here’s what you can do to stay safe while you throw with us:

  • Stay home if you are showing COVID-19 symptoms, or if you’ve recently returned from traveling abroad.
  • Use hand sanitizer at the entrance of the store.
  • Maintain a 2m distance between yourself and others.
  • Cough or sneeze into your elbow.
  • Avoid touching surfaces as much as possible.
  • Pay via tap instead of chip.

We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting advance bookings in preparation for the reopening of our Port Coquitlam location! You can book your axe throwing session here to go straight to our online booking service or you can call into the store at 778-285-8890 reserve your lane.

To ensure employees and patrons maintain distance, we will be limiting the number of axe throwers in the facility.

We will also be encouraging customers to pre-book, sign waivers online, and pay online or pay with tap in-store.

We are carefully monitoring the situation. The most important thing is to make sure we conduct business in a safe environment.
